In the Faat Mun (Methodologies), , and the similar Yiu Ku (Important Formula), tactical advice is given, using sets of four character rhyming couplets. Â
- Lui Lao Hui Soong – (Recieve what comes, accompany what leaves)
- Fung Lut Jik Jong – (Charge straight when free)
- Yee Yao Jai Gong – (Use soft to overcome hard)
- Gong Yao Ping Yung – (Hard and soft combine in use)
- Yee Ching Jai Dong – (Use stillness to overcome Movement)
